Principle: An effective institution develops a comprehensive assessment plan and uses it in a fair and equitable manner to measure students learning and to improve the quality of the curriculum and institution.
9.1 The institution shall develop a comprehensive system for assessing student progress based on expectations for student learning that includes business and industry standards.
9.2 The assessment system shall provide for the collection and desegregation of data and be used to make decisions about student progress.
9.3 The assessment system shall serve the information needs of specific users including such areas as completion rates, placement, and expected levels as student achievement.
9.4 Assessment of student learning shall be designed, developed, and used in a fair and equitable manner.
