The Muscle Shoals Career and Technical Education Center has been awarded a distance learning lab thanks to a Career and Technical Education 21st Century Classroom Grant.
School District Awarded Grant
Officials are pursuing the concept of developing a Career & Technical Magnet School for Alabama in the Shoals area.

The Ready to Work Program at Northwest-Shoals Community College(NW-SCC) and Muscle Shoals Center for Technology have partnered together to give high school seniors workforce development certifications to enhance their job and training opportunities as they graduate high school.

Health Science Clinicals: New Scrubs |
|
The Health Science Department recently debuted new scrubs for clinicals. These scrubs are worn by Muscle Shoals Health Science students during clinicals at area hospitals. These students are required to have Foundations of Health Science to participate. Each week, the students visit various healthcare facilities to gain hands on experience in the healthcare field.

FBLA, FCCLA, HOSA, and SkillsUSA all attended the Joint Leadership Developement Conference in Montgomery, AL on Tuesday, September 29, 2009.

2009 FCCLA High Heel Marathon! |
The FCCLA Club hosted their 1st Annual High Heel Marathon Tuesday, November 2, 2009 in the Muscle Shoals High School stadium. The purpose of this event was to raise money for breast cancer. Shoes were provided, and the first 50 participates recieved a free t-shirt! Real Men Wear Pink was the theme of the event. The event raised $258 towards Breast Cancer Awareness. Mrs. Sherrill would like to thank every one who helped and participated in this event.
